A 3-minute practice to help ease a headache
This is a never-fail practice to help ease built-up tension in the skull, neck and jaw and is my go-to when I have a headache.
For this headache obliterating practice I am holding a block (or your favourite hardback book) on an angle under the base of my skull or Occipital Ridge.
Cover your eyes with something soft and hold the block or book on its knife edge and insert it and under the ridge. You’ll breathe a sigh of relief (or likely pain) when you hit the sweet spot, trust me.
Roll your head SLOWLY from side to side across the block for about 3 minutes. GO SLOW and feel everything, even the sticky bits. They’re the best parts. Remember, you have to love all of the stuff about you. Even the dark parts.
You might like to take a butterfly shape with your legs (feet together, knees apart) which will help to ease tension through the hips and pelvis.
I’d also recommend a Lavender Essential Oil to complement this practice.
