Yoga Nidra - Island of the Self

In the ancient yogic language Sanskrit, nidrā means ‘sleep’. Yoga Nidra is a powerful guided meditation practice designed to drop you into the ‘place’ between wakefulness and sleep. Think of it like a CTRL, ALT + DEL for the deep, life and experience-altering subconscious mind. Sure, it’s a simple practice but don’t underestimate its potency.

This practice allows both the body and mind to come into a deep state of rest so to give rise to that inherently loving, joyful and peaceful aspect of ourselves that is infinitely divine.

Based on the spiritual teachings of Vietnamese Zen Master Thich Nhat Hanh, this yoga nidra meditation is another tool to help you navigate the at times tricky dance of the human curriculum.

Try it just as you wake up or when you first get home from work, integrating an ‘I AM’ affirmation that represents how you wish to feel more of in your life. For example, “I AM PEACE” or “I AM LOVE”.
